Groundwater Monitoring & Remediation

Who Needs Groundwater Management?

Groundwater Remediation is required to clean up impacted groundwaters. Groundwater monitoring wells are installed at the contaminated sites to effectively characterize the contamination plume and to monitor effectiveness of a remedy on reducing contamination. Groundwater monitoring refers to all activities related to collecting representative groundwater samples for characterization and evaluation. Pumps and bailors are used to purge the stagnant well casing water and to allow formation water to enter the casing for a representative aquifer sample. Water quality meter devices are implemented to measure field parameters such as PH, electrical conductivity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, temperature, and oxygen reduction potential.
