REASON FOR TESTING
A community hospital contacted A-Tech to conduct Legionella and Metals in their domestic water system to maintain compliance with Joint Commission, CDC, Department of Public Health and OSHPD guidelines. In addition, we were requested to conduct air testing for waste anesthetic gases.
SAMPLING STRATEGY
A-Tech collected water from several potable water points and ice machines for legionella and metals analysis. The Legionella samples were analyzed by a CDC Elite Certified Laboratory. Waste anesthetic gases were collected from operating and recovery rooms and the adjacent corridor for ambient comparison. An air flow hood was also utilized to determine air flow and pressurization.
