Long-Term School Modernization

PROJECT SCOPE

At a school in the County of Los Angeles, A-Tech was requested to conduct a comprehensive survey for asbestos, lead, mold, hazmat and universal waste. Based on the analytical results and field verification A-Tech composed a comprehensive scope of work for any and all hazardous materials to be impacted during the beautification project.

PROJECT OVERSIGHT

During all phases of the project A-Tech was on site conducting; asbestos project monitoring and clearances including PCM and TEM air sampling and final visual inspections. For lead project monitoring and clearances wipe samples were conducted and final visual inspections. During this project a leak occurred and impacted an active classroom. A-Tech rapidly responded and conducted a full mold and moisture assessment to ensure the safety of the students and teacher. Mold remediation and clearances were done according to the recommendations A-Tech provided in the report. The classroom was able to resume class and there were no delays to the overall project.
